Roller door installation is not something that should be done haphazardly. First you need to think about how the door will work. Once you have decided on the design then you can move on to the final step in the installation process, the installation of the rollers. The rollers are the last piece in a door that needs to be installed correctly. To install a roller, you need to follow the guide that came with the door.
The main parts of roller doors are the rollers and the track. These are the parts that will need to be measured so that the best fit can be achieved. Measure the width of your door against the opening that the door will be fitted into. Referring to your attached diagram, measure the top sideroo and the head space to make sure that there’s enough space for the roller to fit through. Also measure the height of the ceiling and the height of the rollers.
When you are installing the rollers make sure that you do it on an angle so that the rollers will be placed where they are most effective at moving air. If the rollers are not installed properly, they may not be able to move air as quickly as they should. Another factor to consider is that the rollers should be aligned correctly, when they aren’t aligned they can get caught between two rollers or between the two rollers and the ceiling and cause them to come off, you don’t want this to happen either. Remember that roller doors will be used for many years, if they are not installed properly they may not work as effectively as they should.
